Airing both local and acquired Malay dramas and popular programmes, MediaCorp TV12 Suria, a Malay-language channel, has now achieved recognition outside the Malay community, drawing media attention in Singapore and abroad.

History of Suria

MediaCorp's Suria first was launched when it replaced Prime 12 on 31 December 1997. What makes it the channel of choice for Malay-Singaporeans is that it is able to successfully transmit a blend of programmes including news and entertainment to reflect the different views, culture and lifestyles of this community. As a dedicated Malay channel, it consistently aims to be the number-one channel for the Malays.


Transmission Hours

Transmission hours are from 3:00 pm to 12:00 am midnight on weekdays, 2:00 pm to 12:00 am midnight on saturday, from 10:00 am to 12:00 am midnight on Sunday and public holidays from 10:00 am until between 12:00 am midnight and 4:00 am or 24 hours during Hari Raya Puasa but at 5:58 am or 6:28 am, it plays the national anthem.
